Information on Shopping and Shipping

  • How to Use and Care for ceramics

These are dishes, much like any other and can be put in the dishwasher, warm oven, microwave or ‘fridge. I have had had some in constant use for decades.

If using in the oven just heat slowly as you would any glass or ceramic dish. Only items made specifically for baking should be used at higher temperatures.

They are stoneware, fired to cone five, the glazes are non-toxic (of course).

If you get something with gold decorations, then no dishwasher or microwave.

  • Shipping

Orders will be securely packaged to prevent damage during shipping. Newton Street Studios uses some recycled shipping materials.

Work is shipped via USPS ground depending on rates and circumstance. Please contact me if you require expedited shipping or would like a different shipper.

I apologize that shipping is costly, but ceramics need to be well cushioned - and postage is dear these days.

If you live in the Seattle locale, use code LOCALPICKUP to waive shipping, and I will contact you to pick up the piece.

  • Commitment to quality

Our goal is for you to love your new pottery! If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please contact us and we will try to make it right. If there are any flaws or breakage in shipment, we can try to replace the piece, if possible, in a timely fashion or provide a refund or credit with shipping included.
